Congressman Kevin Hern, currently representing Oklahoma’s 1st District since 2018, shared insights into recent developments and budgetary initiatives through a series of tweets. Hern, who succeeded Jim Bridenstine, frequently highlights his dedication to fiscal management and bipartisan cooperation.

In a tweet posted on May 1, 2025, Congressman Hern expressed enthusiasm about collaborative efforts across party lines, stating: “Bipartisan work in Congress!” The statement underscored his commitment to joint legislative efforts.

The following day, on May 2, 2025, Hern commented on former President Trump’s fiscal plan, emphasizing that it fulfills key pledges. He detailed that this budget aims to “secure our borders,” “unleash American energy production,” “put more money in the pockets of working families,” “protects the AMERICAN DREAM!” and “CUTS wasteful and duplicative” initiatives.

In another post on the same day, Hern reflected on his own experiences with budget creation. He acknowledged the complexity of drafting a balanced fiscal plan, noting: “I know what it takes to write a balanced budget – I’ve done it the last four years in a row.” Hern praised the work of @POTUS and @russvought for developing a budget that he believes leads to “sustainable spending.”

Kevin Hern, 61, originally from Belton, Missouri, resides in Tulsa. He obtained a BS from Arkansas Tech University in 1986 and furthered his education at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock, graduating in 1999.
