The Summit League announced on Apr. 8 the selection of five student-athletes to the 2025-26 Women’s Basketball Academic All-League Team, recognizing both their athletic and academic achievements.
This recognition highlights student-athletes who have excelled in their studies while also contributing significantly on the basketball court. The award aims to celebrate those who demonstrate commitment both in competition and in the classroom.
Oral Roberts University senior guard Jalei Oglesby earned her first Academic All-League Team honor, marking a notable conclusion to her collegiate basketball career. North Dakota State led all programs with three selections: Avery Koenen, a junior and repeat honoree; sophomore Marisa Frost; and junior Molly Lenz. South Dakota State’s Madison Mathiowetz, a senior guard, was also named after an impressive final season.
To qualify for the Academic All-League team, athletes must maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, complete at least one full academic year at their current institution, and participate in at least half of their team’s games. Nominations are submitted by sports information directors from member institutions with women’s basketball programs. Voting is conducted by these directors as well as faculty athletic representatives.
The five-member team consists of those student-athletes receiving the highest number of votes from league officials each year.
