Congressman Kevin Hern, who represents Oklahoma’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted several messages on his social media account during early April 2026, addressing religious observances, support for the military, and a local school tragedy.
On April 5, 2026, Hern shared an Easter greeting: “He is Risen! I wish you and your loved ones a happy and reverent Easter.” Later that day, he expressed support for the armed forces with another post: “God bless our troops, and God bless the United States of America!”
On April 7, 2026, following an incident at Pauls Valley High School, Hern addressed his constituents with a message of concern: “My thoughts are with the Pauls Valley High School community after today’s tragedy. Tammy and I are praying for a swift recovery for Principal Kirk Moore and for all the students, parents, and faculty affected. We’re grateful for the swift response from local law enforcement,”
Kevin Hern has represented Oklahoma’s 1st District since 2018 after succeeding Jim Bridenstine. Born in Belton, Missouri in 1961 and currently residing in Tulsa at age 61, Hern holds degrees from Arkansas Tech University (1986) and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (1999).
