Congressman Kevin Hern, who represents Oklahoma’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on social media covering topics from government funding efforts to political violence and the commemoration of September 11th.
On September 9, 2025, Hern announced his upcoming appearance on Fox Business, stating: “I’ll be joining @MorningsMaria on @FoxBusiness in just a few minutes, discussing the work we’re doing in Congress to fund our government and more! Tune in!”
The following day, September 10, he addressed concerns about political violence and referenced conservative activist Charlie Kirk: “Political violence is meant to silence the voice and will of the people. Rest assured, anyone who has heard of Charlie Kirk, knows that the movement he inspired will never let the evil actions of a coward stop the advancement of civility, liberty, and patriotism that he helped”
On September 11—marking twenty-four years since the terrorist attacks—Hern honored victims and first responders: “Today we honor the memory of those killed in the September 11th, 2001, terror attacks. We must never forget the courage of first responders and the sacrifice of those killed that day. 24 years later, their heroism stands as a lasting reminder of the price of our freedom.”
Kevin Hern has served as U.S. Representative for Oklahoma’s 1st District since replacing Jim Bridenstine in 2018. Born in Belton, Missouri in 1961 and currently residing in Tulsa at age sixty-one, Hern holds degrees from Arkansas Tech University (1986) and University of Arkansas at Little Rock (1999).
