Congressman Kevin Hern, representing Oklahoma’s 1st district since 2018, recently took to social media to express his views on various national and international issues. Hern, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress following Jim Bridenstine, addressed matters ranging from natural disasters to legislative achievements and foreign policy challenges.

On July 6, 2025, Hern conveyed his thoughts on the severe flooding impacting Texas communities. He stated, “I join my brothers and sisters in Texas today in prayer for these communities impacted by the floods. I pray for the families who have lost children, and for those still missing. Godspeed to the first responders.” This message highlights his solidarity with those affected by the disaster.

Later that day, at 15:39 UTC, Hern celebrated a legislative accomplishment alongside President Trump during an appearance on NEWSMAX. He announced via social media that “President Trump just signed the Big, Beautiful Bill into law! Tax rates will remain low, our border will be secure, and the economy will continue to grow under President Trump’s leadership.” This reflects Hern’s support for Trump’s policies aimed at economic growth and border security.

In a subsequent post at 18:28 UTC on July 6th, Congressman Hern turned his attention towards international affairs concerning Russia and Ukraine. He warned of Russian President Putin testing U.S. patience by stating “Putin is testing President Trump’s patience – and he’s about to find out the hard way that President Trump won’t play his games.” He further emphasized Congress’s readiness to back President Trump as a “Peace Maker-in-Chief” in efforts to resolve ongoing conflicts in Ukraine.

Kevin Hern was born in Belton, Missouri in 1961 and resides in Tulsa. An alumnus of Arkansas Tech University (BS) and University of Arkansas at Little Rock (1999), he brings educational experience alongside political acumen to his role.
