Congressman Kevin Hern, representing Oklahoma’s 1st district since 2018, recently shared his views on legislative matters and immigration policy through a series of tweets. Born in Belton, Missouri in 1961, Hern has been an active political figure and currently resides in Tulsa.
On May 19, 2025, Congressman Hern expressed support for President Trump’s legislative proposal. He stated that “Democrats continue to lie about President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, but the facts speak for themselves! This bill is a win for working families. It’s time to PASS this legislation and get it to @POTUS to be signed into law!” The congressman emphasized the benefits he believes the bill would bring to working families.
Later that day, Hern attended a significant event at the White House. At 19:47 UTC he tweeted about his participation: “I’m honored to be at the @WhiteHouse today to witness @POTUS sign the Take It Down Act into law! Earlier this year, @FLOTUS came to Capitol Hill for a roundtable that I was grateful to be a part of. We heard directly from teenagers whose lives had been destroyed by malicious”. This tweet highlights his involvement in discussions addressing issues affecting teenagers.
In another tweet posted at 20:53 UTC on May 19th, Hern addressed individuals residing illegally in the United States. He urged them to consider options provided by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), stating “If you’re here illegally, I encourage you to take advantage of this generous offer from @DHSgov while it’s available, because Option #2 is not gonna be fun!” His message underscores his stance on immigration enforcement policies.
Kevin Hern holds degrees from Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
