Congressman Kevin Hern, representing Oklahoma’s 1st district since 2018, shared several statements on social media regarding current political and national events. The congressman has been vocal about his support for former President Donald Trump’s policies and recent legislative actions.

On January 29, 2025, Congressman Hern emphasized the unity of the House GOP behind Trump’s agenda. He stated, “.@HouseGOP is united behind President Trump’s agenda—securing the border, cutting spending, and restoring America’s strength.”

Later that day, Hern announced the signing of a significant piece of legislation by President Trump. He tweeted, “President Trump just signed the Laken Riley Act into law – the first one of the Trump-Vance Administration! This is a big win for national security. We can’t bring Laken back, but we can ensure that violent criminals entering our country illegally are DEPORTED!”

On January 30, Hern expressed his condolences following a tragic incident at Reagan National Airport. He wrote, “Tammy and I are praying for everyone affected by tonight’s tragic mid-air collision at Reagan National Airport. Our hearts are with the families of those on board and the search and rescue teams on the scene.”
