Congressman Kevin Hern, representing Oklahoma’s 1st district since 2018, has been vocal on social media regarding significant legislative matters and national sentiments. On June 9, 2025, he expressed his views on the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” and other topics through a series of tweets.
On June 9, Congressman Hern posted a reminder about an impending vote concerning a significant piece of legislation. He stated that “a vote against the One Big, Beautiful Bill is a vote FOR the largest tax increase on the American people in history.”
Later that day, Hern addressed issues of patriotism and national identity. He criticized certain actions by individuals within the country by stating that “burning our flag, attacking our law enforcement, destroying private property – these are not the actions of people who want to stay in the best nation on the planet.” He expressed his pride in being an American citizen and highlighted his belief in America’s uniqueness.
On June 10, Hern reiterated his support for the aforementioned bill by emphasizing its potential benefits. He tweeted that “Our Big, Beautiful Bill delivers the largest tax cut for working- and middle-class Americans in history.”
Kevin Hern was born in Belton, Missouri in 1961 and currently resides in Tulsa. A graduate of Arkansas Tech University with further education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, he has served as a U.S. Congressman since replacing Jim Bridenstine.
