Congressman Kevin Hern, who represents Oklahoma’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to share updates on his legislative activities and positions.

On January 21, 2026, Hern posted about an accolade he received from a national pro-life organization. He wrote, “Honored to receive an A+ on the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America National Scorecard for 2025. I will always stand up for the right to life and defend the most vulnerable among us.”

The following day, January 22, 2026, Hern highlighted his participation in a congressional hearing focused on healthcare costs and insurance coverage. In one post he stated, “Be sure to tune in today at 1:30pm CT / 2:30pm ET to the @WaysandMeansGOP Hearing with health insurance CEOs. I’ll be questioning the CEOs directly on how to put Americans back in control of their health plans and what can be done to lower healthcare costs.” Later that same day, he addressed concerns about healthcare complexity and affordability: “The healthcare system has become too complex for Americans to navigate. Premiums are rising while coverage continues to shrink. That’s why I asked some of the largest health CEOs on how they intend to address these pressing issues facing every American in @WaysandMeansGOP.”

Kevin Hern has served as a member of Congress since 2018 after replacing Jim Bridenstine as representative for Oklahoma’s 1st District (https://www.oklahoman.com/story/news/politics/government/2018/11/07/republican-kevin-hern-wins-1st-congressional-district-seat-in-oklahoma/60471576007/). Born in Belton, Missouri in 1961, Hern is currently based in Tulsa and holds degrees from Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
