Congressman Kevin Hern, who represents Oklahoma’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on his official social media account highlighting national events and legislative achievements.

On January 19, 2026, Hern marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a message honoring the civil rights leader: “Today we honor the life and leadership of Martin Luther King Jr., whose commitment to justice and unity made lasting impacts our nation. His legacy continues to be an inspiration to us all.”

The following day, January 20, 2026, Hern commented on President Donald Trump’s first year back in office by stating: “365 days of President Trump restoring America to greatness! Secure border Historic tax cuts American energy dominance Peace through strength Promises made. Promises kept.”

Later that same day, Hern highlighted recent congressional action regarding foreign influence in American education. He wrote: “In December, the House passed my PROTECT Our Kids Act, which prevents the CCP from funding programs in our K-12 schools. The CCP is one of our greatest adversaries. They can’t be allowed to indoctrinate our children. Read my op-ed in the @tulsaworld https://t.co/CJv8wYvOrb”

Kevin Hern has served as a member of Congress since 2018 after succeeding Jim Bridenstine. He was born in Belton, Missouri in 1961 and currently resides in Tulsa at age 61. Hern holds degrees from Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
