Congressman Kevin Hern, who has been representing Oklahoma’s 1st district since 2018, shared his views on current political and economic issues through a series of tweets. Hern, born in Belton, Missouri in 1961 and currently residing in Tulsa, is known for his direct communication style.

On July 2, 2025, Hern responded to a statement by Mr. Chairman with the tweet: “Spot on, Mr. Chairman! “.

Later that day, he expressed his frustration with what he perceives as irresponsible behavior by Democrats during a House floor debate. In his words: “A few delayed flights gave me plenty of spare time to watch the debate happening on the House floor. It’s beyond irresponsible for Democrats to lie to the American people like this. This rhetoric contributes to the culture of hatred and the refusal to see the other side as”.

The following day, on July 3, Hern criticized financial analysts and media outlets for their predictions about the economy under President Trump. He tweeted: “Every month, the financial pundits and fake news media predict doomsday – and every month they are ‘surprised’ to see a booming economy. President Trump’s economy outperforms expectations EVERY SINGLE TIME. When will the so-called ‘experts’ start paying attention?”

Kevin Hern holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas Tech University (1986) and another degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (1999).
