Luis Bonifasi named Peak Performer of the Week for Oral Roberts men’s tennis

Luis Marcos Bonifasi has been named Peak Performer of the Week after a strong start to the spring season for Oral Roberts University’s men’s tennis team. Bonifasi, a junior, played from the No. 3 singles position in all four matches and finished with a 3-1 record.

He earned his first career peak performer award by helping ORU secure two wins, including victories over St. Joseph’s and Saint Louis. In the match against St. Joseph’s, Bonifasi clinched the win for the Golden Eagles with a three-set victory, finishing 7-6 (11), 1-6, 7-6 (4). He also achieved a straight-set win against Florida Gulf Coast, marking the team’s only point in that match.

According to the announcement: “Garnered his first career peak performer award. Went 3-1 from the No. 3 spot in singles as ORU went 2-2, picking up wins against St Joseph’s (W, 4-3) and Saint Louis (W, 4-0). Secured the match-clinching point against St. Joseph’s with a 7-6 (11), 1-6, 7-6 (4) victory. Rolled to a 6-2, 6-3 win against Florida Gulf Coast, marking the only Golden Eagle win of the match.”
