Denver has been chosen as the favorite to win the 2026 Summit League women’s tennis regular season title, according to the league’s preseason coaches’ poll released Wednesday. The Pioneers, who have secured both the regular season and tournament titles in each of their eleven years in the league, received six out of seven first-place votes and topped the poll with 36 points.

Omaha was projected to finish second with 28 points. North Dakota ranked third with 26 points and received the remaining first-place vote. Kansas City was fourth with 23 points, followed by St. Thomas in fifth with 15 points. Oral Roberts placed sixth with 11 points, while South Dakota rounded out the list at seventh with eight points.

The league also announced its preseason athletes to watch, as nominated by head coaches. Among them is Miranda Noor of Oral Roberts University, a junior from Caracas, Venezuela, who transferred from Lees-McRae College. Last season for Lees-McRae, Noor went 13-7 in singles play—primarily competing at the No. 3 spot where she posted an 11-5 record—and achieved a 16-3 doubles record alongside partner Lina Ngassi Saqout.

Other athletes highlighted include Louise Wikander (Denver), Nina Wiese (Omaha), Jule Schulte (North Dakota), Catherine Chrobak (Kansas City), Emilia Korseth (St. Thomas), and Selena Bird (South Dakota). Each athlete’s previous achievements and statistics were noted as part of their nomination.
