The Lady Eagles were on the road December 7th for a KCAC match-up with the Avila University Eagles in Kansas City, Missouri. Leading into the match, the Lady Eagles were 3-7 overall and 2-4 in conference play while Avila was 2-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

Coming up short, OKWU was defeated 71-60 and their record changed t0 3-8 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

The Lady Eagles started off hot and maintained a lead throughout the first half of the game. Heading into the second half with the lead, the Lady Eagles slowed maintained a steady pace to victory. The 4th quarter of the game Avila went into overdrive and outscored the Lady Eagles 22-11, giving them the lead heading into the final minutes of the game and capturing the win.

Hannah Smith led Avila offensively to victory with 23 points scored, while Kaytee Frasher had an impressive 10 rebounds.

Leading the Lady Eagles, River Jeffries had a year high with 17 points made and went 2-3 from the arc. Defensively, Sydnee Schovanec led the Lady Eagles with 9 rebounds and 2 steals.
