Oklahoma Wesleyan University Softball Gets Recognized in the Latest NAIA National Coaches Poll

OKWU Softball has been recognized in the latest NAIA National Coaches Poll for the 2nd time in program history. After going 14-4 since the first poll, the Lady Eagles have been recognized as Receiving Votes (78).

HIGHLIGHTSWithin the 14 wins, the Eagles made a huge impression early on in the season with a 8-6 win of the #3 USAO Drovers.

The Eagles only losses come from #1 ranked Oklahoma City, RV MACU, and Mid-America Nazarene.

Two Lady Eagles have been a dominant force in the box thus far; Regan Rector and Lindy Alexander. The two average a .450 batting average and account for a majority of the team’s RBI’s.

In the circle for the Lady Eagles, sophomore Maddy Wiese has been superb. Receiving the win over USAO and holding the #1 ranked Oklahoma City to only 2 runs in their last outing, Wiese holds a 1.48 ERA and averages 9.32 strikeouts a game.
