The Oral Roberts baseball team will play against Oklahoma State at ONEOK Field in Tulsa on April 28, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
This matchup is significant as it marks the second of three midweek games between the two teams this season. The Golden Eagles currently hold a narrow all-time series lead over Oklahoma State, with a record of 44-39 dating back to 1972. Their most recent meeting was earlier this month, when Oral Roberts won 10-9 in Stillwater.
The Golden Eagles are coming off a split weekend against North Dakota State, highlighted by strong performances from Makani Tanaka and Easton Teel. Tanaka went nine-for-16 at the plate during the four-game series and recorded a Summit League season-best six runs batted in during game two. Teel started game one and achieved a career-high and league-best fourteen strikeouts over six innings.
Senior outfielder Will Edmunson recently earned Kwik Star Summit League Baseball Peak Performer honors after helping Oral Roberts sweep South Dakota State. Edmunson extended his hitting streak to ten games last week and has driven in eleven runs during his current seven-game run batted in streak.
Oklahoma State enters the contest with a record of 28-16 overall and an 11-10 mark in Big 12 play. The Cowboys recently swept Texas Tech and are led offensively by Alex Conover, who ranks fifth in conference batting average, while junior Kollin Ritchie stands fourth nationally with twenty-two home runs this season.
Looking ahead, both teams will aim to build momentum as they approach key stretches of their respective schedules.
