The Oral Roberts University baseball team will travel to Stillwater to play the Oklahoma State Cowboys on April 7 at O’Brate Stadium, with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.

This matchup is notable as it marks the first of three midweek games between the two teams this season. Oral Roberts currently holds a slight edge in their all-time series against Oklahoma State, leading 43-39 since their first meeting in 1972. Last season, Oral Roberts won their only contest against OSU with a score of 10-6 in Stillwater.

The Golden Eagles enter the game after sweeping Northern Colorado in a Summit League series, posting victories of 3-1, 3-2, and 3-2. Makani Tanaka and Hudson Ellis each collected four hits during that series. Ellis drove in a key run with a double on Saturday to secure the sweep, while Cooper Kelly contributed two doubles and Will Edminson hit his first home run of the season. On the mound, Easton Teel pitched seven innings for a win in the opener and Jack Hill earned saves by throwing three shutout innings across two appearances.

Nationally recognized sophomore starter Easton Teel continues to impress with a career earned run average (ERA) of 2.89—ranking him fourteenth among NCAA Division I pitchers—and an average of just 1.72 walks per nine innings, which is tenth nationally. The team’s defense also stands out; its .985 fielding percentage ranks fourth nationwide and they have turned eighteen double plays so far this year.

Oklahoma State enters Tuesday’s contest with an overall record of 21-11 and are coming off a sweep against Cincinnati. The Cowboys are led offensively by Colin Bruggemann—who drove in six runs including both a two-run homer and grand slam last weekend—and Kollin Ritchie who ranks third nationally with eighteen home runs this season.

Looking ahead, right-handed pitcher Brenden Asher (0-2) will start for Oral Roberts while left-hander TP Wentworth (1-0), who transferred from Clemson and has made three starts this year for OSU, will take the mound for Oklahoma State.
