Oral Roberts falls to South Dakota State despite Ty Harper’s strong performance

The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles men’s basketball team lost to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits 87-69 at the Mabee Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The game took place on Hall of Fame night.

Ty Harper led Oral Roberts with 25 points and five assists. He was supported by Luke Gray, who scored 12 points and had three blocks, and Connor Dow, who also contributed 12 points. Ofri Naveh was close to a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

Oral Roberts started strong, building an early lead after a run that put them ahead 12-5. However, they were unable to maintain their advantage and trailed at halftime, 36-29. In the second half, ORU briefly regained the lead after a 7-0 run capped by a layup from Naveh but could not hold off South Dakota State for the remainder of the game.

Jaden Jackson led South Dakota State with 15 points.

Oral Roberts now holds a record of six wins and twenty-one losses this season. Their next game is scheduled against Omaha on Tuesday, February 17th.
