Oral Roberts guard Max Abmas collected his first TicketSmarter #SummitMBB Peak Performer of the Week award of the season and was named Lou Henson National Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.


For his efforts in wins over Liberty and Missouri State, he was also named the CollegeInsider.com Lou Henson National Player of the Week. This marks the third time Abmas has secured that honor.


Abmas opened last week by dropping a game-high 26 points in an 84-70 win over Liberty. He went 8-for-19 from the field and connected on a five 3-pointers against the Flames, while adding eight rebounds and three steals.

He followed that performance up with his fifth consecutive 20-plus point scoring game during an 80-77 win over Missouri State. The Rockwall, Texas, native finished with 23 points and three rebounds against the Bears as ORU pushed its winning streak to six straight games.
