Parks maintenance crews continue to remove damaged trees and limbs at City Parks. Crews will begin repairing damage to buildings and facilities as soon as possible.
There are more than 100 parks with downed trees or significant damage.
Citizens are encouraged to avoid parks if there is significant tree debris or damage and report any storm-related damage by calling 311.
All or part of the following Tulsa Parks are closed:
- Celebration Park
- Council Oak Park
- Crawford Park
- Dream Keepers Park
- Fred Johnson Park
- Graham Park
- Gunboat South Park
- Heller Park
- Helmerich Park
- Henthorne Park
- Hicks Park Community Center (all regular programming canceled)
- Highland Park
- Howard Park
- Hunter Park
- Langeheim Park
- Maple Park
- Midland Valley Trail (between 18th and 21st Street)
- Mohawk Park
- Owen Community Center
- Reed Park and Trails (Community Center, splash pad, and pool are open)
- Starks Park
- Stickball Park
- Tulsa Garden Center
- Whiteside Community Center (summer camp relocated to Hicks Park Community Center)
- Williams Park
- Woodward Park
- Zink Park
Avoid dumping green waste in parks, on the sides of the roads, and in school parking lots. Illegal dumping carries a fine of up to $500 and up to 30 days in jail.
Waterworks Art Center Reopening Friday, June 23
Waterworks Art Center will resume classes on Friday, June 23, and will resume summer camp next week.
Whiteside Park Summer Camp Relocated to Hicks Park Community Center
Summer camp at Whiteside will be relocated Thursday and Friday to Hicks Park Community Center, 3443 S. Mingo Rd. Hicks will only be open for summer camp; other regular programming is canceled. Camps at Lacy, Reed, and the Jane A. Malone Center at Chamberlain Park will continue as scheduled. Before/Aftercare will be available at all summer camp locations.
Community Center Cooling Stations Open at 8 a.m.
Escape the heat and charge your devices at Lacy and Reed Park Community Centers. Centers are open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Community Golf Courses
Page Belcher and Mohawk Golf Course are back open. Mohawk Golf Course sustained significant tree loss, but fairways have been cleared, and the course is back open now that power has been restored.
Lacy and Reed Pools
Lacy Pool is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Reed Pool is open from Noon to 6 p.m. Other City pools will remain closed throughout the week because it will take a few days to get the water balanced again. Area splash pads are coming back online across the city as power is restored.
Trail Dangers
Portions of the Mingo Valley, Creek Turnpike, Osage, and Midland Valley trails are blocked and impassable.
Disc Golf Courses Closed
All disc golf courses are at least partially under trees that could include dangerous hanging branches and should be avoided until clean-up is completed.
