Tulsa County’s 41 coaches earned an average salary of $175,115 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the third highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Oklahoma post-secondary schools during 2022.

Tulsa County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, University of Tulsa stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $312,296.

Male coaches of men's teams received $386,043 on average in Tulsa County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $76,613.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
