Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) has announced the members chosen by the House Republican Conference to serve on the Republican Policy Committee for the 119th Congress. The committee includes representatives from various regions, states, and congressional classes.

The members selected are: Rep. Claudia Tenney (NY-24) for Region 1, Rep. Dan Meuser (PA-09) for Region 2, Rep. Troy Balderson (OH-12) for Region 3, Rep. Sheri Biggs (SC-03) for Region 4, Rep. Greg Murphy (NC-03) for Region 5, Rep. Andrew Clyde (GA-09) for Region 6, Rep. John Rose (TN-06) for Region 7, Rep. Trent Kelly (MS-01) for Region 8, Rep. Victoria Spartz (IN-05) for Region 9, Rep. Randy Feenstra (IA-04) for Region 10, Rep. Glenn Grothman (WI-06) for Region 11, and Rep. Mike Flood (NE-01) for Region 12.

Additionally, other appointments include: Rep. Troy Downing (MT-02), Rep. Celeste Maloy (UT-02), California's representative Tom McClintock (CA-05), Florida's representatives John Rutherford (FL-05) and Scott Franklin (FL-18), Texas' representatives Morgan Luttrell (TX-08) and Brandon Gill (TX-26), Small States representative Andy Harris (MD-01), Sophomore class representatives Harriet Hageman (WY-AL) and Rich McCormick (GA-07), and Freshman class representative Michael Baumgartner (WA-05).

Rep. Hern expressed enthusiasm about working with the new committee members: “I’m excited to get to work with the incoming members of the policy committee,” he said. “The American people gave us a mandate, and I look forward to delivering policy wins with them on behalf of the American people.”

Last week saw Hern elected as Chair of the House Republican Policy Committee in this Congress session—the Policy Chairman is an elected position among returning and incoming Members of the House Republican Conference.

The Republican Policy Committee functions as an advisory body within House Republicans and offers a platform where legislative proposals and current issues before the House can be discussed by its members.
