University of Tulsa Golfers in 12th Place Heading into Final Round at ICON Invitational

The Tulsa women’s golf team goes into Tuesday’s final round at the ICON Invitational in 12th place, while senior Lilly Thomas is 13th place individually at the par-72 Golf Club of Houston.
 
The Hurricane shot an opening round 5-under par 283 on Monday but fell to a score of 296 in second round action for a 36-hole total of 596. Thomas carded an opening round of 5-under par 67 and posted a second-round score of 71 for a 6-under par 138 for the day.
 
Texas A&M leads the event with a 25-under score of 551, followed by Iowa State one stroke back and Southern Cal three strokes back at 554.
 
Tulsa freshman Grace Kilcrease carded rounds of 69-75 for a 144 total and 39th place. Sophomore Sydney Seigel finished the day at 148, while freshman Jenni Roller and sophomore Lovisa Gunnar carded 150 scores for the 36 holes.
 
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
