Tulsa women’s soccer player Tatum Sanders was named as the American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced today by the league office.  This is Sanders’ second weekly accolade as she picked up the same honor on September 19.

Sanders had 10 saves to help TU tie Cincinnati (1-1) and top Houston (3-0) last week.  She picked up three saves and the shutout against the Cougars after recording seven saves against the Bearcats.  Sanders logged all 180 minutes between the posts for a 0.50 GAA.

Isold Runarsdottir was tabbed to The American Honor Roll after recording two goals on the week.  She scored the equalizer against the Bearcats on a penalty kick in the 67th minute, and netted the second goal of the contest for TU against the Cougars.  She had just the one shot in each contest.
