Andy Warhol’s interactive installation, “Silver Clouds,” will be on display at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa from February 11 to June 14, 2026. The exhibition features floating, pillow-like forms made from Scotchpak, a material originally used for sandwich wrapping. Warhol developed this work in 1964 with engineers as an alternative to traditional painting and sculpture.
The “Silver Clouds” installation allows visitors to touch and move among the silver forms as they drift throughout the Helmerich Gallery. According to the museum, these interactive elements provide an ever-changing reflection of their surroundings and encourage visitors to experience beauty in ordinary materials.
Philbrook Museum of Art was established in 1939 and expanded with a new wing in 1990. The museum sits on a historic estate with extensive gardens and houses more than 16,000 objects focused on American, Native American, and European art. It welcomes over 160,000 visitors each year and aims to foster new ideas and social connections within Tulsa.
“Through bold action and strategic investment, we create a space for new ideas, diverse stories and perspectives, and social connections,” according to information provided by the museum.
