University of Tulsa Women’s Soccer Trio Named to The American All-Rookie Team

Tulsa women's soccer players Jordan Frederick, Tatum Sanders and Maggie SymSmith were named to the American Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team, as announced today by the league office.

Frederick, a freshman forward from Bixby, Okla., tied for a team-best 12 points as she finished the season with four goals and a team-high four assists.  She started in six of 16 games and attempted 18 shots, 10 of which were on goal.  Frederick was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week on September 19, becoming the first TU women's soccer player to earn that honor, earned conference weekly honors twice and was tabbed as Tulsa's "Player of the Match" twice.

A freshman goalkeeper from Tulsa, Okla., Sanders played 990 minutes in goal, earned 50 saves for a 0.806 saves percentage, allowed 12 goals for a 1.09 goals-against average and had five clean sheets.  She also received conference weekly honors twice and was TU's "Player of the Match" twice.

SymSmith, a freshman midfielder from Garland, Texas, started in 15 of 16 games.  She attempted 11 shots, four of which were on goal.  For her efforts, she was selected as TU's "Player of the Match" once.
