University of Tulsa Women’s Soccer Inks Five to National Letters-of-Intent

Tulsa women's soccer head coach Jim Rhein announced today the signing of five players for the 2023 class, including Leah Diaz, Bresaidies Mendez-Mosley, Brenna Rowlett, Piper Szafranski and Kaylyn Simmons. 


"We are excited to add these five women to our team," Rhein said.  "This class will continue to improve the talent level of the program and we are happy to add them and their families to the Tulsa family."


Diaz, a 5-2 forward from Richardson, Texas, plays club soccer for D'Feeters Kicks Soccer Club and earned first-team all-conference honors.  She is also a three-year letterwinner at JJ Pearce High School.  Her cousin, Jordan Martinez, was a senior on the women's soccer team this past season.


A 5-5 defender from Irving, Texas, Mendez-Mosley has played club soccer for Sting Soccer Club for seven years and D'Feeters Kicks Soccer Club for three years, as well as is a three-year letterwinner at Ranchview High School.


Rowlett, a 5-9 defender from Arcadia, Okla., has played club soccer for Oklahoma Energy FC for eight years and is a three-year letterwinner at Oklahoma Christian School. For OCS she has been named an all-district selection the last two seasons.

A 5-4 midfielder from Tulsa, Okla., Szafranski has played for the Tulsa Soccer Club ECNL for nine years and was named to the ECNL all-conference team in 2021. She is also a three-year letterwinner at Booker T. Washington High School where she has scored 17 goals, earned all-district honors twice and was named the BTWHS Offensive Player of the Year twice.


Simmons, a 5-6 forward from Norman, Okla., has played club soccer for Oklahoma Energy FC for two years.  She is also a three-year letterwinner at Norman High School, where she scored 16 goals as a junior.
