Matheus Ferreira/Men's Soccer | Oklahoma Wesleyan University
Central Midfielder, Matheus Ferreira played for the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Men's Soccer team from 2018 to 2023. Ferreira was a major contributor to the Eagles success over the past few years and started 51 of the last 57 games of his career in an Eagles uniform.
On December 21st Ferreira took part in the Major Arena Soccer League College Draft hoping to represent Oklahoma Wesleyan University and continue his soccer career for years to come.
Ferreira's name was called within the 3rd round of draftees and will go on to compete in the 2023 season with the MASL. Ferreira was one of forty-two college athletes to be given this honor and looks to represent Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and make his family proud.
HIGHLIGHTS
Ferreira ended his OKWU career in the fall of 2022 as a 4X KCAC Regular Season Champion and 3X KCAC tournament Champion. Playing in 57 games, he recorded .610 shots on goal percentage, scored 21 goals, had 30 assists, and ended the 3 years with 72 points.
Along with that, he was a 4 time 1st Team All-KCAC athletes and a 3time NAIA All-American.
