The University of Tulsa women's tennis team earned a decisive 4-0 victory over the DePaul Blue Demons (1-4) Saturday in Purdue's Schwartz Tennis Center.
The win improves the Golden Hurricane's record to 5-2 on the year.
The doubles point came down to the No. 1 position, where sophomore duo Maria Berlanga Bandera and Lily Hutchings battled to a 6-4 win over DePaul's Lenka Antonijevic and Yuliya Kizelbasheva.
TU kept the momentum in singles play, getting three straight wins from Laia Conde Monfort (No. 1), Hutchings (No. 3) and Amy Leather (No. 6) to seal the dual-match win for the Hurricane. All three athletes needed only two sets to take down their opponents.
