Ignacio Vinas/Men's Tennis | Oral Roberts University

The Oral Roberts men's tennis team defeated Lindenwood, 5-2, Friday evening in St. Charles, Missouri.
 
Ignacio Vinas and Ezequiel Monferrer got things going Friday evening for ORU winning 6-0 at No. 1 in doubles action. With one match down, the Golden Eagles needed one more to claim the point. Kevin Leuenberger and Jonathan Evans came through and captured a 6-2 victory at No. 3 to claim the doubles point and put ORU up 1-0.
 
In singles play, the Golden Eagles had four victories. Vinas won his second match of the day with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2. Leuenberger also was victorious at No. 5 with a 6-2, 6-4 win. ORU also claimed two wins in three-set matches. Monferrer won 6-3, 5-7, 10-4 at No. 3 and Eli Brewer won 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 at No. 6. It was ORU's second 5-2 victory of the season.
