Oral Roberts shortstop Mac McCroskey has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Baseball Peak Performer of the Week, as announced by League officials Monday. The redshirt senior also earned National Player of the Week honors from Collegiate Baseball for the first time in his career.
McCroskey opened the season by belting a trio of home runs and driving in six during ORU's 16-2 win over Northern Illinois. He equaled the single-game program record for long balls.
He added his second straight three-hit outing in game two and also swiped a pair of bases. The Springdale, Ark., native hit safely in all four games during the series sweep of the Huskies, going 8-for-18 at the plate.
