Beach Volleyball was on the road February 23rd for a weekend in the Missouri State Classic.

Throughout the two days, the Lady Eagles faced off against Lindenwood, Southwest Baptist, Tennessee-Martin, and Missouri State. Being the only NAIA team to compete at the classic, the Lady Eagles looked to pick up their first win on the 2023 season.

HIGHLIGHTS

OKWU vs. Lindenwood: 0-5 (L)

OKWU vs. Southwest Baptist: 1-4 (L)

OKWU vs. Tennessee Martin: 0-5 (L)

OKWU vs. Missouri State: 0-5 (L)

Within the match against Southwest Baptist, Maddy McKinney and Ashlynn Farrell picked up the first match win of the season for the Lady Eagles outscoring Southwest Baptist 2-1 in #3 pairs. Later, Addie Mathias and Sydney Collins took the Classic overall winner from Missouri State to 3 sets in #1 pairs on Saturday morning. Along with the previous, Chiara Vittoni and Allison Howard took the #2 pair spot for the Lady Eagles and took the event winner to 3 sets as well.

UPCOMING EVENTS

The Lady Eagles travel to Nebraska on March first to face off against NCAA D1 Nebraska & NAIA Ottawa (KS).
