University of Tulsa Golfers Shoot Final Round 10-Under Par to Finish the Trinity Forest Invitational in Fourth Place

The Tulsa women's golf team carded a 10-under par final round 278 score to jump three spots in final round action, moving from seventh to fourth place, to close out the 54-hole Trinity Forest Invitational on Tuesday.
 
After a two-hour delay due to fog in the area, the teams teed off at 10 a.m. at the par-72 Trinity Forest Golf Club.
 
The Hurricane finished the tournament with a total score of 5-under par 859, finishing behind fellow American Athletic Conference teams – host SMU (840), Houston (845) and South Florida (852).
 
All five Tulsa golfers finished the final day under par with the best round coming from Lilly Thomas. The senior carded a 4-under 68 score, totaling four birdies while shooting even-par on the remaining 14 holes.
 
A pair of Tulsa sophomores, Sydney Seigel and Lovisa Gunnar, shared 14th place overall as the duo turned in 4-under par totals of 215. Seigel carded a final round 69 today. With five birdies on the day, her only blemish came with a double bogey on her final hole, the par-4 seventh. Gunnar had five birdies and four bogeys for her 1-under par total of 71.
 
Freshman Grace Kilcrease scored a 2-under par 70 today, registering birdie putts on holes 15 and 16 while shooting even-par on the remaining 16 holes. She finished the event with a 3-under par total of 215 for 20th place.
 
Thomas finished in 35th place with a three-round total of 219. Her score of 68 today bettered her second-round score by 10 strokes.
 
Freshman Jenni Roller turned in a 1-under score of 71 in final round action and finished in 43rd place with a 221 total.
 
Tulsa will be back in action at the Mountain View Collegiate, Friday-Sunday, March 17-19, at the Mountain View Golf Course in Tucson, Arizona.
