The Oral Roberts women's tennis team defeated St. Thomas, 4-3, at home Friday afternoon at the Bernis Duke Tennis Center.

Oral Roberts came out with a mission Friday as the Golden Eagles faced St. Thomas for their first Summit League home match of the season. Despite losing the doubles point, ORU came out and won four singles matches in straight sets.

Luna Morini got things going for ORU by tying the dual with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 spot. Zere Iskakova gave ORU a 2-1 lead with a 6-2, 6-4 win. Arina Sorokina won No. 5 singles, 7-6, 6-2, and Reagan Miley closed it out for ORU with a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 4 to clinch the victory.

"I am so proud of the ladies," Head Coach Mark Milner said. "St. Thomas is much improved and well coached. They did a great job of responding after doubles. Arina, Luna, Reagan and Zere did a great job of winning at their positions in straight sets. We are looking forward to getting back on the court tomorrow for another big conference match against WIU."
