Newly-elected Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee, Kevin Hern, has announced Joe Barry as the new Executive Director of the committee. Barry's tenure will commence on January 3rd. Previously, Barry served as the Executive Director of the Republican Study Committee under Chairman Hern.

Chairman Hern expressed his confidence in Barry by stating, "The most important thing you can do to set yourself up for success, whether in business or elected office, is to surround yourself with good people." He further praised Barry's previous work at the Republican Study Committee over the last two years and emphasized that members respect his legislative knowledge. Hern added, "We’ve got a lot to do next year in partnership with President Trump’s Administration and our colleagues in the Senate. I’m confident that Joe is the right person to help us get the America First Agenda across the finish line."

Barry joined RSC as Policy Director in 2022 and became Executive Director in 2023. His experience includes working on policy staff under former Chairman Mike Johnson and serving multiple House Republicans during his time on Capitol Hill.
