Today, the U.S. House of Representatives approved the Republican budget resolution, marking a significant move toward advancing President Trump's America First Agenda.

Congressman Hern commented on the passage: “The American people overwhelmingly elected us to govern, and today’s passage of this budget is a critical step in delivering on that mandate.” He highlighted that the resolution emphasizes strong border security, robust national defense, and boosting American energy while implementing spending cuts aimed at reducing waste, fraud, and abuse. Hern stated that the nation is on an unsustainable path and acknowledged that every member of Congress is aware of it. He added that the budget sets the stage for making President Trump’s tax cuts permanent and aims to restore fiscal responsibility in Washington.

“This is a win for the American people—and a commitment to securing a stronger, more prosperous future,” Hern concluded.

For further insights into Rep. Hern's views before the vote, his remarks can be watched online. Additionally, he co-authored an op-ed with House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (MI-09), available in the Washington Reporter.
