Republican Policy Committee Chairman Kevin Hern, representing Oklahoma's 1st District, has cast a favorable vote on the Senate Amendment to H. Con. Res. 14. This amendment represents the budget framework guiding the reconciliation process in Congress. With this vote, committees responsible for various jurisdictions will begin drafting the necessary policy language to achieve outlined budget targets.

Chairman Hern emphasizes the opportunity provided by former President Trump for Republicans to use federal mechanisms to implement significant legislation. "Thanks to President Trump, Republicans have this rare opportunity to utilize every lever of the federal government to enact historic legislation that helps Americans and moves our country forward," said Hern.

He conveyed that this was the mandate delivered by the American electorate in November, indicating their wish for Congress to fulfill the "America First agenda."
