Republican Policy Committee Chair Kevin Hern from Oklahoma's 1st District has announced his support for a continuing resolution aimed at funding the government through the end of the fiscal year. In a statement, Hern accused Democrats in Congress of attempting to shut down the government to hinder President Trump's agenda.

Hern stated, "Democrats in Congress want to shut down the government to disrupt President Trump’s agenda." He emphasized that the continuing resolution would maintain overall funding levels while increasing allocations for border security. Hern added, "This CR freezes overall funding while increasing funding for the border. I am proud to vote YES, and urge all my colleagues to stand with the President and help his agenda."
