Congressman Kevin Hern, who has been serving Oklahoma’s 1st District in the U.S. Congress since 2018, recently shared his views on Twitter regarding leadership and the handling of past crises. Born in Belton, Missouri in 1961, Hern currently resides in Tulsa and holds degrees from Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas, Little Rock.
On March 13, 2025, Congressman Hern expressed concerns about long-term consequences from previous events, emphasizing the importance of future leaders' commitment to preventing similar situations. He stated: "We will be dealing with these consequences for years to come. What’s important for our leaders moving forward is a commitment to never allowing this to happen again."
In another tweet posted on the same day, Hern criticized past decisions that he believes restricted American freedoms and economic participation. He asserted: "Never again will we cede our authority to unelected bureaucrats. Never again will we forbid Americans from participating in their local economy and community. Never again will we force businesses to close at no fault of their own."
Further addressing actions taken by previous administrations, Hern commended efforts made by former President Trump's administration regarding pandemic-related issues. On March 13, he tweeted: "I applaud the Trump Administration for their work to uncover and de-classify the buried secrets of the pandemic. We are making tremendous progress to protect Americans and ensure this never happens again."
